I'm now at home, but my 40 is in a barn 15 miles away, so I can see that in the coming weeks I am going to see it less and less.

I hope everyone here gets through this with the minimum of disruption and loss.

For what it's worth, I did manage to take it to a couple of places last weekend before putting it away. 20200315_134323.jpg

Phantom dwarf's the 40 a little,
Most likely had a hand in the manufacture of that one. :D

As of today, like most car makers we have suspended production for four weeks minimum.
That means four weeks of self isolation in the garage with my new project.

As others have said, play safe, be safe and stay safe.

I’ve started using the Daimler as the daily driver now.
I’m still working so I thought there may as well be some pleasure to my day.
Also, fuel prices seem to have taken a dive!

Yep' that's the way, indeed mikegamble, I used my "40" as an every day car (in fact I use all my cars as every day cars, though not every day :?: ). Would I be right in thinking the brake gremlin has been chased to ground ? I'm just a bit unclear what's the situation with presently un MOTed cars :?: If the "order" is to halt all tests for the time being, I can see issues in the future (and that's without a Chrystal Ball). Hey ho, bring back Brexit. ;)

Hi , this is the latest on the MOT tests during the Corona virus pandemic sent to my personal email address .

New rules on MOT testing for light vehicles

We're updating you on MOT testing.

New rules on MOT testing for light vehicles
Due to the unfolding COVID-19 situation, cars and vans and motorcycles due their MOT from 30 March 2020 will have their MOT extended by 6 months.
This will continue until confirmed otherwise.
This will allow vehicle owners to continue to be able to get to work where this absolutely cannot be done from home or do essential shopping.
Vehicles must be kept in a roadworthy condition and drivers can be prosecuted if they drive an unsafe vehicle.
The government has extended the requirement for certain businesses to close, but garages are allowed to stay open.
This is to make sure that essential vehicle maintenance and repair to keep vehicles, goods and key workers moving and safe can continue.

Hope this helps .

We now have the word "Exempt" ..... https://www.gov.uk/government/news/vehi ... IZUwNh_UBk ... So with a little clarification, no MOT's needed on any Car, or light vehicle ;)
