Car 50,000 and a breakdown of what is cataloged at this number has been published on www.facebook.com/xj40register. Nearly a quarter of the way there in 3 years - not bad going!

It sure is. That’s why I’m having a break from it this weekend, I’m shattered and my head is swimming in chassis numbers

Just a tea break, too much work to do to take a big break.

Huge admiration Paul, incredibly important work to are doing! Certainly a man on a mission, it will be great in a few short months no doubt to see just how many are still out there. Anybody willing to guess at this stage, 100k worldwide? Certainly very good to hear your well into the 50ks now.

Thanks for saying, it’s massively time consuming and hard going but on extremely worthwhile. Regarding survivors - a lot less than that worldwide. Stats so far suggest only around 1 in 10 survive, a hell of a lot died in the early 2000’s. I’m just nearing the quarter way mark but what I’m showing so far is most are long gone. Even in America which took a large quantity of them have lost most.
