It is aftermarket, not the best fit in the world, but a slight adjustment makes it perfect. Don.

Don, all I know is that the more I see it the more I like it. Stan will not let me have one though :(

Re: XJR Grill on XJ40 Daimler

Postby 7Jagcats » Wed Apr 15, 2020 11:12 am

Some will think WHY?

But will an XJ40 XJR egg crate grill fit on the XJ40 Daimler grill? Does the one piece XJR grille cover the central vein on the Daimler grill?

Anyone tried it?

Thanks

It should, would, with a little tweaking I think. The centre "vein" of the XJR grille, from memory, has two small self tappers, similar to the ones that hold the "regular" ones in (at the top). In other words you'd need to create a couple of small holes on the Daimler grille shell to accommodate ... ;)

The central chrome column/vein on the Daimler grill protrudes more than the Jaguars grill, in fact the jaguars central column/vein is set back, accommodating the XJR grille to slide over the top of it.

Just wondered if anyone had tried it?
