North Cheshire show 8th August 2021

Postby donkeyotty » Fri Mar 12, 2021 3:15 pm

Whilst I fully appreciate we are still in the middle of a pandemic, I feel the need to look forward as much as I dare to being able to attend a car show within the next decade, or before I get too old, whichever is first
So this turned up this morning, been here a few times and had some great days out, 117 even got a prize a few years ago :o
So I will get this sent off and hope we can all meet up and get back to what we do best, drink tea and eat bacon and egg barms :D

Let’s hope we’re allowed to attend a meet by then!

Can’t wait!

Just bumping this up to keep it in mind. Already the middle of April so it will soon be here. I can almost hear 40’s being awoken from their winter slumber around the country as I type. Hope most of you have had your first jab by now, had mine a few weeks ago, had a reaction but glad to have it done, roll on the second jab
Hope everyone is ok and look forward to meeting up with everyone soon :D

I have recently spoken to the person, via telephone, who you contact regarding attending and showing (having had no response to my "application"). They have informed me unless lockdown restrictions are completely lifted on June the 21st the Show won't go ahead. And even then, if the "situation" changes, along with any further "guidelines", it still might not "go ahead". I'm saying no more. :?

Well we will have to wait and see, we can only be optimistic 8-) Massive Jag meet on at Denbies today so that bodes well for all car shows.
Cars and Coffee on the Prom is hoping to go ahead on Father’s Day so fingers crossed. Classic shows also have shows pencilled in for later in the year as well.
If we get to a show this year it will be a bonus, if we can’t then hey ho there is always next year.

Absolutely, indeed, optimism is the way forward. As an aside (completely) I've had my fb account restricted (Your comment didn't follow our Community Standards on harassment and bullying) for using exactly the same phrase "hey ho" recently. Me thinks the world is in a very strange place ATM. :?
