Int. questions: warped door trims and rear air vent

I've had the wood door trims out of my for a while, getting refinished. They have bowed a bit, so they sit proud of the upper door panel after reinstalling. Looking for any ideas on straightening them without damaging the finish. Most of the online tips would not work - Such as soaking the wood in water. I'll probably try adjusting the clips slightly so they are pulled in a little more. Or put some heavy cloth over the trim and try clamping between boards.

Also, I can't seem to remove the rear air vent/cigar lighter piece from the center console of a parts car. Is there a trick to releasing it or the cigar lighter? The parts car is '93. Thanks for any input.

Re the vent trim, there is a very small (1.5mm) Allen bolt in the underside of the tiny black knob on the events. Undo that, gently pry the vent assembly out and et viola! Think all the door trims i have seen had a little bend in them when removed, sat flat when in position....
