Reading that paragraph above reminds me of the saying about glass half full, glass half empty...
Over the past week I came to the same conclusion, the reading of the tank from half to full is bad. Mostly, the fuel gauge would not go much above half but this morning it went straight to full and then gradually dropped to 3/4.
Either way, it sounds like a new sender is required.
