Ok then….
The warning system either thinks there is no one in the seat or that the belt is already plugged in.

First thing I would do is unplug the seat sensor that you fixed.

Short out the connections and then try the light again.

If it is still not working next plug the seat sensor back in again and unplug the stalk, short that out then try the light again.

I haven't been following this thread so I don't know what has been said, but is it possible to move the driver's side seat cushion to the passenger's side to see if the problem moves with the seat - or whether it functions correctly on that side of the car?

Does the passenger side have a pressure sensor? Normally they don't. At least my Au Pairs don't, never checked Sovereign though.

OK, the Countess has finally decided to do something requiring repair. :(

This a.m. the usual testing of warning lights had a gap where the seatbelt warning light used to be. No joy even when wiggling stalks etc. Used to work fine up until she was parked last night.

Most obviously a bulb blown.

Questions:
1. I assume this is a straightforward instrument binnacle lift and replace job? - remove lower trim under cruise control and hazard switch panel, remove the screws holding down the binnacle and lift up the pod? I have not had to do this on a 4.0 but replaced the binnacle on the older 3.6 years ago - I assume it is the same procedure unless there be new dragons lurking...any advice welcomed.
2. What type of bulb is used in the warning light system anyone? Capless, bayonet etc and values (Voltage/Watts)

Thank you in advance.

It's a simple choice she said: "Me or another Jaguar!". I was really torn, should it be Westminster Blue or Glacier White?

Mine too, but doesn´t work. I´ll try to fix it.

apparently, the binnacles come out really easy. i still have`nt fixed my `none seatbelt light` as yet as it has`nt been top of the list, but i suspect mine is the same issue now, i.e, the bulb!
