Hi,First post on here so be gentle :D I am going to look at a 1994 X300 Sovereign on Sunday,I would like to know where to look for rust in the Bulkhead and if there is any other major things to look at,Car has only done 94000,fully serviced once a year according to the Owner,I done my Apprenticeship at University Motors a long time ago so would be self servicing and have had two 40s before. etc,Would a 94 be a Coachbuilt Car so to speak because of its early age? look forward to contributing on the forum once Im Car"d up so to speak ;)

300 bulkheads are better than 40's but still look at the right hand side in the engine bay

As 300 was launched in Oct 1994, so an early 94 M plate car is not uncommon

To get a fix on date of manufacture I would need the last 6 of the vin, starting with the 7, first X300 prototype was 700001, first production car was 700120, so any number close to these will be interesting, my XJR is 720405, it is a very early production car, the 4th RHD XJR built, went down the line in may 1994 with the last XJ40's, retained by Jaguar and not registered until August 1994 on a M, there are a number of 300's kicking about on an L plate, I know of at least 4

Hope this helps
if it ain't sideways, it ain't serious
