Head lights will not stay on high beam

Postby ulrik » Sat Mar 14, 2020 6:09 pm

I have a small issue I would like to cure:

My Daimler XJ81 (1994, V12 Daimler) will not stay on high beam when I activate the stalk contact against me. The high beam flashes (4 head lights) but as soon as I let go of the stalk the lights go down on normal (low beam)

I think it is the head light relay part no. LMD 2240AA which I can hear clicking when I activate high beam.

Has anybody had the same issue and cured it?

Kind regards
Ulrik

Same answer as here, but for "logic unit" use "facia switch pack", success.

..you pull the stalk back to flash momentarily when on sidelights but do the same to toggle between main / dipped when rotary switch is set to main lights iirc = user error (you have only got your sidelights on)?

I remember being caught out by this one night after having driven other cars for too long.
