Re: XJ40 Supercharged AJ16 Project

22.01.20 Update. Popped across to see progress. Really chuffed, all the welding is complete and I can report we have a totally solid, correctly aligned S/C 40 ! :D Ash, the owner of ASH Automotive has done an excellent job of door alignment and other panels. I had previously asked for the leaper to ...

XJ80 and some other Prototype Pics

. I posted the XJ90 a gazillion years ago and I really liked that car but was intrigued as to what had become of XJ80. Recently some of you may have seen it's reveal on FB c/o Chris Ruddell a former Jaguar designer. My understanding was that GM was about to buy Jaguar and the developed the XJ80 (hen...

Re: XJ40 Supercharged AJ16 Project

Apologies Gents for slow reply, I'm still getting intermittent login issues. Rory - up-to last week I was pushing ahead for a finish, pretty soon, with the am of taking it Le-Mans Classic but a certain 4.2 XK150 2dr Coupe, in rather fetching light metallic blue, has just found it's way onto my drive...

Re: XJ40 Supercharged AJ16 Project

Update - Bit of fettling of the crusty bits at the end of the sills. It appears that the drain tubes for the sun roof truncate on top of the sill inside the wing and the rest is history as they say. Both headlamp panels now let in (n/s NOS c/o Creamers before they closed) and of course for later I h...

Re: XJ40 Supercharged AJ16 Project

Well, still hanging on in here  Jag's finally made it to the body-shop who's inspection has confirmed that its in rude health albeit a couple of rust holes need rectification- not unsurprising. Because its now sitting on axle stands I've elected to have the brake lines etc replaced and a genera...

Re: XJ40 - XJR Wanted

Hi Naki_k, I have just realised that I also sent you a message regarding XJ40 XJR seats via eBay. I need new seats for my MKII 3.8 jaguar (1963) with head rests etc and I have been told that the seats from an XJ40 would fit best. The existing seats are red, so I would need a trimmer to re-colour th...

Re: X300 side repeater indicators

Think you'll find they are the same as the Renault clio Simon (in clear) side repeater and inside sun visor HTH
