Re: Yet another first timer, evening all.

Thanks for the welcome! Yes, the XJ40 does feel to me like the “last true jag”. I’ve been told by many people to go for X300 or later, but it’s the feel, especially the interior that does it for me. I am wondering, after a few views of Jag40’s, what is the difference in interiors between the Jag an...

Re: Interesting Daimlers

What a strange scam! I thought the idea was to list a conventionally highly desirable car at a bargain price. Not list a weird spec old car most of the general public aren't interested in with pictures that clearly show it's rather tired and at a price no one would likely want to pay. Seems like a s...

Happens both when parked and when driven. Not seen or read of leaks in this area before. I assume it's a case of the gasket (...

Re: Spotted today

Yes, and they came with Sovereign Teardrops, Cruise and electric seats, all with stainless surrounds. XJR variants weren't issued to the USA in XJ40, it was later XJ'S which came with XJR trim. XJ40 also was never offered with 2.9 or 3.2 engines, and their XJ12 came with stainless too. I knew they ...

Re: Spotted today

American base cars are different specification to U.K. Their base cars had elements and features of our Sovereign’s Interesting, thanks. Didn't know that. So did U.S. cars never get the matt black window frames or was it only on V12 and/or XJR models? Yes, and they came with Sovereign Teardrops, Cr...
