Re: Anybody seen this yet .

That said, I always use premium in mine anyway, and probably will in my 2004 S Type when it’s introduced too, as ethanol is horrible stuff and the less of it the better. Blasphemy! :o I use ethanol usually on a weekend basis, couldn't say a bad word about it... I can purr like a kitten on i...

Re: S type 3.0

Agree on the red, most of my Jags were/are red too. As for the S-type, biggest issue for people always was that Jag spent 99% of its S-type budget on designing the front end and then realised that they are running out of money when designing the rear end, so the car looks like a Jag from the front b...

Re: Me XJ40.com and the future

Does anyone with access to hosting have any ideas on how much data transfer we're using monthly(when the pics were actually working)?

Re: Polishing a turd

Ok, finished, resto complete. Had to adjust rear brakes and hub, ask previous owner for an old pic of it as I forgot how dynamo was mounted. Then, wire up both lights(properly), then add an extra ground for the rear light and adjust gears and finished with spraying the whole thing with ACF50, all wh...

Re: Polishing a turd

Turned out well I think. https://photos.app.goo.gl/F82kL58HmgnBep5K6 Still need to finish few bits, put back chain guard, dynamo, connect the lights, connect the gears and adjust rear brakes. Mrs should be very happy. By the way, I've bought new decals from Pashley, they only sell them if you send t...

Times have changed, you'll have to pay 10 times that to get a decent one.

Re: Polishing a turd

Admittedly, I've used brass wheel so no harm was done. That said, I've only checked a couple of spots to see if there is anything under all this rust, the rest of the work was done overnight, it soaked in citric acid and came out great. Just rinsed it in the morning, dried it and wiped it with some ...

Re: Polishing a turd

Well. As it usually happens, one thing led to another and bike is completely disassembled and we're fully committed to doing it all properly  Its not far from basically working on a Jag suspension. All bolts and nuts were rusted, two snapped, few had to be cut off, the usual stuffs. https://pho...
